Gabriel Bortoleto will not take part in the second free practice session at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix due to a fuel leak in his Sauber.

The Brazilian will therefore miss out on the most representative practice session of the weekend, with his team unable to sort his car before the light went green at the end of the pit lane for FP2.

Bortoleto Absent in FP2 in Jeddah

The team reported before the practice: “Unfortunately, we discovered a fuel leak on Gabriel’s car after FP1, which cannot be fixed in time for FP2. The cause of the fuel leak is currently being investigated by the team. For this reason, Gabriel is unable to take part in FP2.”

The first practice session was challenging for Sauber, with Bortoleto finishing last; the fuel leak was found in the car after the session earlier on Friday. Pierre Gasly finished in first place, just +0.007 ahead of Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, and Oscar Piastri.
