Due to Max Verstappen's controversial penalty in Jeddah, Oscar Piastri came home the winner of the Grand Prix and the championship leader as well, something McLaren teammate, Lando Norris, is 'not surprised' by.
Piastri took the chequered flag, while Norris could only managed a P4. Why? The Briton himself is not surprised.
"I'm not surprised because of all the mistakes I've made over the last few Saturdays," said Norris to media at the Jeddah circuit's paddock, including GPblog.
On Saturday evening Norris instead of finding a good enough lap time for pole, he found the wall on the outside of the entry into Turn 5. However, race days, the McLaren driver sees as his strong suit.
"My Sundays I think I'm pretty happy with, they've been pretty strong. All of my Sundays, the pace has been good. I have good confidence, the pace is there and I feel like I'm at the best at the minute."
"But I make my life too tough on Saturdays. I'm making myself work for it, it makes my Sundays a little bit more fun at times. I just miss out on the trophies and the applause. I've got to work on my Saturdays and if I can work on my Saturdays I'm confident I can get back to where I was."
