Many drivers have struggled this weekend with several different issues. Nico Hulkenberg caused a red flag in Q2 of tqualifying due to issues with his car while Verstappen struggled with his brakes. Many drivers and cars have been allowed by the FIA to make last minute adjustments. Verstappen and Red Bull Racing were allowed to make adjustments to his brakes after his comments during qualifying.
Oscar Piastri took pole and will start from the first slot for the Bahrain Grand Prix. George Russell qualified P2 but was dropped one grid position after a penalty was handed to him and Mercedes teammate, Kimi Antonelli. Thus, Charles Leclerc was promoted to second with Russell in third.
Pierre Gasly also recieved a position due to Antonelli's penalty and will start from the second row alongside Russell. Next to Antonelli, Norris starts from the third row, just ahead of Verstappen. Carlos Sainz will begin the race next to Verstappen from P8, with Lewis Hamilton and Yuki Tsunoda behind them.
