After another disappointing weekend, Lewis Hamilton sounded downbeat in Jeddah. Former F1 driver Martin Brundle reacted to the seven-time world champion's interviews in Jeddah.
Other than a Sprint victory in Shanghai, Hamilton did not have the best of starts to his time at Ferrari. The Briton finished in P7 in Jeddah, while Charles Leclerc managed to claim the team's first-ever podium finish in 2025.
“Hamilton would finish half a minute behind his team-mate Leclerc in seventh, albeit showing strong pace from time to time. The pace is in there somewhere but it's a very hard watch when Lewis is doing post-race interviews at the moment. He's not happy with his performances and is clearly more than a little perplexed and disappointed," Brundle wrote in his column for Sky Sports.
The Ferrari driver also sounded disappointed in various interviews, including the one where he talked to GPblog among others.
“Zero. Nothing positive to take from today, except for Charles finishing on the podium which was great for the team. "It was horrible. It was horrible and unenjoyable. I was just sliding around, didn't have a good feeling about it. First stint, massive understeer, car not turning and then massive deg and then the second stint, slightly better balance, but still just no pace, so it was pretty bad,” Hamilton said last Sunday.
In terms of the drivers' standings, Hamilton has 31 points this season, 16 less than Leclerc's tally.
