Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet are expecting their first child together soon. For Kelly, it will be her second child, as she already has a daughter named Penelope. So, she is getting a little sister or brother. When exactly is Kelly due, and will it be a boy or a girl?
Kelly Piquet is about to give birth to her first baby with Max Verstappen. The exact due date has not been officially announced, but according to Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko, baby Verstappen is expected around May 6, 2025. That's the Tuesday after the Miami Grand Prix, which takes place on Sunday, May 4.
At this moment, Kelly Piquet is still pregnant and is staying at home in Monaco. No news has been released that she has given birth. Kelly is expected to give birth in early May, possibly on May 6, right after the racing weekend in Miami. Max Verstappen has also not made any official announcements about when their first child together is expected.
All signs point to Kelly Piquet and Max Verstappen expecting a girl, with Kelly spotted looking at baby clothes in the girls' section of a store. During her baby shower, light pastel colours such as pink and purple were seen, which are often associated with a girl. Moreover, Kelly accidentally posted a photo of the guestbook on social media. One of the messages said that 'another girl' would be joining the family. She deleted this photo shortly after posting it.
If everything goes as expected, Max Verstappen will become a father in early May. The mentioned date of May 6 falls right after his participation in the Miami Grand Prix. If this date is accurate, but the baby arrives a bit earlier, Verstappen risks missing the birth because he will still be in Miami. However, if the baby arrives on or after the due date, the Red Bull Racing driver will be back just in time and will have the opportunity to enjoy the new arrival. The next F1 race, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, takes place two weeks after Miami.
