Former F1 team and sponsorship manager turned F1 journalist Peter Windsor believes that Max Verstappen will stay at Red Bull Racing as there is "nowhere else to go".
The Brit sees Red Bull as one of the most complete teams, despite the challenges they have on track with a difficult RB21.
Despite those issues with the car, it has not stopped Verstappen from already taking a race win at the Japanese Grand Prix, backing up his stunning pole position at Suzuka on the previous day.
Two weeks later, another win was on the cards after another fantastic pole position at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. However, a five-second time penalty for an incident with Oscar Piastri derailed his chances and meant he could only finish in P2.
Despite the challenges Red Bull and Verstappen have had, Windsor cannot imagine a better team for Verstappen than the Austrian team, apart from McLaren.
During his livestream on his YouTube channel, Windsor was asked: 'If Max could choose another car, apart from McLaren, where would he go?'.
"I think Red Bull", he said in what was a very swift reply.
"He has already won a race with it, and he almost won in Saudi Arabia. Red Bull is still the best team in Formula 1 in terms of how they operate in the pitlane, in the garage, overnight, getting things right when things go wrong."
Verstappen currently sits at 87 points in the drivers' standings, just two points off Lando Norris, with the McLaren driver in second place, now ten points away from teammate Piastri after his third win of the season in Jeddah.
Of course, there have also been many rumours surrounding the Dutchman joining Mercedes and Aston Martin for instance - even Alpine has been dubbed a potential candidate to sign the reigning world champion - because of Red Bull's struggles, but as of right now, Windsor would not see that as a positive change.
"Why would he leave Red Bull? There is nowhere to go anywhere else, except for McLaren," concluded the Brit.
