The United States Grand Prix weekend has got underway and after a thrilling qualifying session last night, Saturday's Sprint action is upon us. The 2023 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, will occur on Sunday, October 22, at 20:00 BST. It will be the 18th race in the 2023 Formula 1 season and is the penultimate sprint weekend of the season.

Max Verstappen won the 2023 World Championship last time out in Qatar, and Red Bull Racing won the Constructors' title in Japan. However, the Dutchman had his final lap in qualifying deleted due to track limits, meaning he will start down in sixth for Sunday's race, as Charles Leclerc claimed pole position. There is still plenty to play for, including P2 in the Drivers' Championship, which sees Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso trying to catch Sergio Perez. The Brit will have the better opportunity, as he lines up on the second row of the grid, whilst Alonso will have to fight through the field from 17th.

When will the drivers be in action?
