Lando Norris just barely missed out on a podium at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. While Norris started in 10th, he managed to work his way up to fourth. Afterwards, he explained why he could not make the podium.

When asked about making the most of his track performance, he told Sky Sports, “I think we suffer on a track like this. We still suffer a lot with the DRS compared to the other teams. We're not quick enough in the straights, which makes my life today especially tough.”

He continued, “I've got no advantage on any other team. It's tricky, but there were plenty of races last year where we were in a similar boat and we were very quick.”

The McLaren driver added, “We've just got to be patient and keep working hard. The team are doing a great job and we're performing very well as a team.”

Being hard on himself once again, Norris admitted, “Of course, maybe a little bit less on my side, but Oscar's doing a great job in showing where the car should be. So there's no reason to blame anything apart from to say that I need to be up there too.”

Norris's teammate, Oscar Piastri, is now leading the World Drivers' Championship after winning the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
