Ferrari did not have much success in the 2025 so far, but the Italians can finally tick off a milestone this current year, after Charles Leclerc finished in P3 in Jeddah.
While only Ferrari have achieved a topping a sprint qualifying and winning a sprint in the 2025 season thanks to Lewis Hamilton, until the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, they failed to score a podium finish. Today however, after he got up into P3 with overtaking Russell, Leclerc did not let that position go.
"In Qualifying we don't manage to extract more out the car. But I'm very happy with the race, we maximised everything. I never expected to finish [P3], I thought this race was about defending from the cars behind like Kimi [Antonelli]," he Monegasque driver said after jumping out of his SF-25 in Jeddah
"I'm very happy with what we have done, now we just need to improve the car in order to be fighting further," Leclerc continued.
The Ferrari driver showed great tyre management, making his medium tyres last 30 laps with decent pace, and he also managed to keep Lando Norris behind during the second stint, who was chasing him down on fresher mediums as well.
"We need to keep pushing. Hopefully upgrades are coming soon in order to improve the car," he concluded.
