McLaren driver Oscar Piastri believes there is "still some things to iron out" at McLaren, despite dominating proceedings in FP2 at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

The Australian finished just under two-tenths behind his teammate Lando Norris in the second free practice of the weekend, sending an ominous message to the rest of the grid in Jeddah.

It's been an impressive start to 2025 for the papaya-coloured team, with three wins in four races to start the season, seeing them race to 151 constructors' points, with Norris on 77, three points clear of Piastri in the drivers' standings.

Piastri sees even more improvements to come for McLaren

"It was a decent day. I think the pace has been good, and I felt reasonably comfortable," Piastri explained after Friday's running around the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, speaking to F1TV.

"There have been a few corners that I need to try and do a bit of a better job at tomorrow. But, all in all, it's felt like a good day. I think the pace has been good. Still some things to iron out. It's not been perfect, but still feeling good."

FP2 saw the representative conditions that will be seen for qualifying on Saturday and Sunday's Grand Prix, and McLaren continued where they left off from last week's Bahrain Grand Prix.

But even with that, Piastri believes more is to come from his team, even after winning by 15 seconds in the desert of Sakhir.

"I think the pace in the car is good. I've been feeling pretty good. I think there's still, like I said, some things to improve for tomorrow, a bit more pace to find. But, so far, everything's been going reasonably well," concluded the Australian.
