Last year's Saudi Arabian Grand Prix saw Max Verstappen break one record. Verstappen was tied initially with Michael Schumacher for a record of poles at different circuits (19). However, Verstappen surpassed Schumacher as he took pole last year and made pole at 20 different circuits. One record that Verstappen moved up in was the most laps led. Verstappen surpassed Aryton Senna for 3,000 laps lead and moved into fourth place. But what records could be beaten or equalled this year?

Records to be beaten or equalled

If Lewis Hamilton manages to set the fastest lap, he will beat out Schumacher for consecutive seasons with a fastest lap. Both Hamilton and Schuacher currently hold 15 consecutive seasons with a fastest lap. If Hamilton gets a fastest lap this season, he will extend his consecutive record to 16 and extend his record of the most seasons with a fastest lap to 18 seasons.

Verstappen is the only driver to have been featured on every Saudi Arabian Podium since the circuit's opening in 2021. If Charles Leclerc makes this podium, he will surpass Sergio Perez and fall one race under Max Verstappen’s record of four podium finishes at the Jeddah Corniche circuit. If Hamilton or Verstappen manage to make it on pole position, they will tie Sergio Perez for the most pole positions, as they each hold one while Perez holds two.

Kimi Antonelli is no longer eligible to become the youngest race winner, but he still has time to become the youngest polesitter. Anyone under the age of 21 years and 72 days can beat this record.

If Nico Hulkenberg manages a win or a podium finish, he will set the record for the longest Formula One career without a win or podium finish with 231 races.

If any of the rookies with only four races under their belts (Sorry, Oliver Bearman) can win this race, they will tie Clay Regazzoni and José Frolián González for the record of fifth place in how many races they had before their first win (5).
