Kelly Piquet shows off baby tummy on Verstappen's Yacht

Kelly Piquet, Max Verstappen's girlfriend, has shared new photos on Instagram where her significantly grown baby bump is clearly visible. The 36-year-old Brazilian, due in early May and may give birth at any moment, poses on Verstappen's luxury yacht in Monaco along with little dog Nino.

In the shared images, Kelly wears a pink yoga outfit that accentuates her baby belly. She is accompanied by Nino, the dachshund adopted by the family earlier this year. Flying is no longer an option for Verstappen's girlfriend, who is very far into her pregnancy. As such she will not be able to make the trip to the Miami Grand Prix.

The couple, together since 2020, are expecting their first child together. Piquet already has a daughter, Penelope, from a previous relationship. Verstappen has mentioned in previous interviews looking forward to fatherhood and sees raising Penelope as valuable preparation for his new role as a father.​

It remains to be seen whether mini Verstappen-Piquet is a boy or girl, although subtle hints from the Brazilian model seem to suggest the couple will welcome a daughter.

Shopping in a store's girls' section, the subtle pink and purple hues at the baby shower, during which a guest appeared to accidentally reveal the gender of the child in a message in her guestbook which was visible in a photo. That message talked about the arrival of ‘another girl’ in the family.

Verstappen will hope his first child inherits his excellent sense of timing, especially if Helmut Marko's remark is accurate, that he or she will be born a few days after the GP of Miami.
