Andrea Kimi Antonelli in F1

Antonelli was announced in August 2024 as the replacement for Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes. Although he is only 18 years old, he was promoted to take the place of a seven-time world champion for a reason. Antonelli has won nearly everything he's competed in. It started at a very young age in karting, where he set the fastest times almost everywhere and was unbeatable in races. He won the World Cup, Masters, and the European Kart Championship, even winning the prestigious European Kart Championship two years in a row.

In his first full season in the prestigious Italian F4 Championship, Antonelli dominated. The Italian won 13 out of 20 races and stood on the podium 15 times. That year (2022), he also won the ADAC Formula 4 Championship and the FIA Motorsport Games Formula 4 Cup. In 2024, Mercedes decided to skip the Formula 3 step and move Antonelli directly to Formula 2, considering it sufficient preparation for his promotion to the F1 team.

Andrea Kimi has a great mentor in his father, Marco Antonelli. Marco Antonelli is an Italian racing driver who mostly competes in sports car races. For example, he won a race in the International GT Open-AM in 2022, where he competed for the AKM Motorsport team. Kimi has therefore been immersed in racing from a young age.

Kimi Antonelli in 2025

Antonelli will make his official Formula 1 debut in 2025 as the new teammate of George Russell. Antonelli's route to Formula 1 closely mirrors how our own Max Verstappen made his debut. The big question on everyone's lips is: have we found the new Verstappen? Just like Verstappen, Antonelli begins his Formula 1 career at a very young age. Additionally, both men skipped a class: Verstappen skipped Formula 2, while Antonelli skipped Formula 3. Furthermore, the Italian has big shoes to fill as the successor to seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. The expectations are high. With Russell as a teammate at Mercedes, Antonelli at least has an experienced mentor by his side, from whom he can learn a lot. And if Mercedes has its affairs in order for 2025, Antonelli might accomplish some great things next season.

Kimi Antonelli's Girlfriend

Since October 2023, Antonelli has been in a relationship with 19-year-old go-karter Eliska Babickova. The Czech has competed in various karting championships and became the champion of the Italian OK Kart Championship in 2023. The two regularly share photos of each other on social media.

Kimi Antonelli's Salary and Net Worth

Antonelli's salary at Mercedes is estimated to be just under 2 million euros. This is significantly lower than his more experienced teammate George Russell, whose salary is estimated at around 14 million euros. Nevertheless, it's still a nice salary for an 18-year-old to receive. It is currently unclear what the young driver's net worth is.

Kimi Antonelli's Age, Nationality, and Height

Andrea Kimi Antonelli, at the start of the 2025 Formula 1 season, will be the youngest driver on the grid at 18 years old. He was born on August 25, 2006, in the Italian village of Bologna. Antonelli is 1.72 meters tall, which is fairly average for a Formula 1 driver.
