Chief Technical Officer of Racing Bulls Tim Goss hopes that a "successful return to the top ten" for the Italian team will "build an understanding" for the Miami Grand Prix. The sister team of Red Bull Racing leave for the United States with a positive outlook for the upcoming Grand Prix in Florida, with Goss convinced that
Isack Hadjar and
Liam Lawson can compete for points once again.
It was the first points finish for Racing Bulls since the Japanese Grand Prix with Hadjar's P10 at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
Although Liam Lawson has yet to score this season, his twelfth place in Saudi Arabia was close. The team is hopeful that they can add more points this coming weekend, although it will be a challenging weekend.
Hadjar earned his fifth point of th 205 season after his P10 at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
Opportunities for points to be scored in Miami
"Following a successful return to the top ten and the points for VCARB in Jeddah, we arrive in Miami", said Goss ahead of the weekend in Florida.
"We continued to build our understanding of the car in Jeddah and how to extract the best from the setup, which culminated in demonstrating that both the drivers and the car have the race pace to compete at the top of the midfield."
The circuit around the iconic Hardrock Stadium promises much excitement for the Italian team: "The Miami track is a permanent circuit built on the streets surrounding the iconic Hard Rock Stadium. It is a challenging mix of some fast straights, high-speed corners and some tight sections around the stadium.
"It is a Sprint race weekend with two opportunities to bring back points and is likely to be hot, putting extra demands on the car, the tyres and the drivers. We have renewed confidence from our recent performance and will give it our best shot to collect more points in both the Sprint and the race," concluded Goss.
