Kelly Piquet, Max Verstappen's girlfriend, was full of admiration for how the Dutchman took a stunning pole position at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

In Jeddah, the Red Bull Racing driver defied a tricky RB21 to put together a fantastic lap around the Jeddah Corniche Circuit to take P1 for Sunday's Grand Prix, with Piquet sharing her amazement at the 27-year-old's feat on Instagram.

The Brazilian is usually busy all over the world, keeping the outside world updated daily about where she is through her various social media channels. But for these weeks, Verstappen's girlfriend is at home in Monaco, waiting for the moment that their child is born, with Piquet heavily pregnant.

While being unable to travel, it gave the Brazilian the opportunity to watch qualifying on Saturday evening to see how Verstappen would do.

The Dutchman laid down a stunning lap in Q3 in Saudi Arabia, managing to put his RB21 in front of the dominant McLaren and Oscar Piastri.

In the paddock, there was admiration for the way Verstappen performed in this qualification once again, like there was at the Japanese Grand Prix, underlining the brilliance of the Dutchman. Kelly Piquet knows this, too, but still, her boyfriend managed to surprise her.

In a post on Instagram, videoing Verstappen celebrating his pole position, she captioned: "How do you do this," followed by several emojis, amazed by the lap put together.
