Johnny Herbet has once again spoken out about Red Bull Racing. This time, he set his sights on team principal Christian Horner. This is not the first time the dismissed Steward has shared his opinions regarding the team.

In an interview with a betting site, one that was accused of promoting illegal gambling in the Netherlands, Herbert discussed Horner. In said conversation, he said that he believes Verstappen deserved his penalty for the move he pulled in the first corner. He then said that Horner had 'zero understanding' of the matter because Horner feels that Verstappen did not deserve the penalty.

Herbert blames Horner for not admitting his mistake

Herbert said, "I know he’s the team principal and he’s trying to do what’s best for Red Bull, but sometimes you have to just admit you’re wrong and give the place back. Most drivers are very aware of when they should give the place back."

The former F1 driver then stated again that Verstappen was in fact at fault in that situation. He believed that Verstappen was two meters away, which justifies the penalty.

“Horner then came up with the picture of evidence to show who was in front in Turn 1, which was a load of baloney, but to me, it was passing the buck to the FIA and the stewards," Herbert added.
